چکیده

This paper addresses the identifier ownership problem. It does so by using characteristics of Statistic Uniqueness and Cryptographic Verifiability (SUCV) of certain entities which this document calls SUCV Identifiers and Addresses. Their characteristics allow them to severely limit certain classes of denial of service attacks and hijacking attacks. SUCV addresses are particularly applicable to solve the address ownership problem that hinders mechanisms like Binding Updates in Mobile IPv6. keywords: Security, Mobile IPv6, Address ownership.

Bootstrapping security associations for routing in mobile ad-hoc networks

— To date, most solutions proposed for secure routing in mobile, ad-hoc networks (MANETs) assume that secure associations between pairs of nodes can be established on-line; e.g., by a trusted third party, by distributed trust establishment. However, establishing such security associations, with or without trusted third parties, requires reliance on routing layer security. In this paper, we elim...

A Wireless Intrusion Detection System for Secure Clustering and Routing in Ad Hoc Networks

Intrusion detection and secure routing schemes have been proposed for increasing the security and reliability in critical scenarios like mobile ad hoc networks. In this paper we present an integrated secure routing system based on Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and SUCV (Statistically Unique and Cryptographically Verifiable) identifiers. The proposed IDS has been used for the support of secu...

This memo describes a mechanism to provide a secure binding between the multiple addresses with different prefixes available to a host within a multihomed site. This mechanism employs either Cryptographically Generated Addresses (CGAs) or a new variant of the same theme that uses the same format in the addresses. The main idea in the new variant is that information about the multiple prefixes i...

EIP - Preventing DDoD with Ephemeral IP Identifiers Cryptographically Generated

Nowadays, denial of service (DoS) attacks represent a significant fraction of all attacks that take place in the Internet and their intensity is always growing. The main DoS attack methods consist of flooding their victims with bogus packets, queries or replies, so as to prevent them from fulfilling their roles. Preventing DoS attacks at network level would be simpler if end-to-end strong authe...
